Pooh, pooh!

May 2005

Baby quilt for a friend.

Cut 6 inch blocks from a pre-printed panel and used them as the center for this sweet quilt.

I went with pink and purples for the borders.

The best thing about this quilt is the corners. The flowers there are 3-D. Those were fun blocks to make!

I also added some very cute Winnie the Pooh appliqués.

The quilting was fun too. In the pre-printed area I stippled around two of the pictures (catty-corner to one another) and then made straight lines in the other two boxes. Then used my fancy stitch application on my sewing machine to embellish around the frames. Then on the widest border frame—the purple flowered fabric—I quilted a flower pattern. This was all very new to me and lots of FUN!
