February 2013
In 2000, while I was on medical leave from work (I had a brain tumor the size of a ping-pong ball taking up residence in my head), I did a lot–A LOT–of quilting. I made a quilt for every branch of my family. There were 8 or 9 all total that were given as gifts at Christmas that year. In 2013, I decided to do it again. This quilt was made for my eldest daughter, Katie. I did something different when it came to actually quilting the blanket. I quilted in diagonal lines. It wasn’t complicated at all…but, it was a first. Turned out beautifully.
