A Trip to the Southwest

2000
Trip-Around-the-World Quilt. Made for my sister.

I used a Southwestern fabric as the focus fabric. Her house had a Southwestern theme. I had about a yard and a 1/2 left over. I held on to it thinking I could use it in a quilt of my own “someday”.

It’s 2017 (17 years later) and I’ve just started putting together a quilt using this fabric. For those of you who think those of us who keep fabrics stored away for “someday” are just hoarders… you’re probably right.

But, we always TRY to use our stash. Sometimes, it just takes a while. LOL

"I'd like to think of myself as a blended mix of Southern charm and humor. What I really am is a hot mess of sin and sass. Jesus loves me either way."
