The Ohio Star

September 2001
I love this quilt!

It was my first attempt at the Ohio Star pattern. It was so easy and so much fun to make.

For a while it lay at the foot of the twin bed we put in my eldest daughter, Katie’s room after she moved out to attend college. Since I also used this room as my sewing room for a while it was a lovely touch and I was so pleased with it. I will admit that I was maybe a bit skimpy on the quilting. I used the STITCH in the DITCH technique–minimally.  Later, after we moved to Las Vegas I put it on a quilt rack and displayed it in the dining room. Someday, I plan to make another in yellow and blue.
